Rising star Nolan Siegel will compete in his first season of the INDY NXT by Firestone series with HMD Motorsports in 2023, as well as competing in the LMP3 and LMP2 classes of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship and the Asian Le Mans Series, respectively. The Palo Alto, California native’s racing career began at the age of eight when he tried out his first go kart. Since then, the 18-year-old has stormed through the junior ranks, scoring podiums and victories on the Road to Indy in USF2000 and Indy Pro 2000.

After challenging for the title until the final day of the 2022 Indy Pro 2000 Championship, Siegel is continuing his climb towards the NTT IndyCar Series this year in INDY NXT. After a promising debut at last season’s finale, Siegel has impressed during offseason testing with defending champions HMD Motorsports and is excited to take on the challenge the series is sure to present for all the drivers. In addition to his INDY NXT schedule, Siegel has also become a prolific sportscar racer over the last two seasons. After debuting in the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge GS Class in 2021, Siegel stepped into the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship in 2022 to face the unique test of endurance racing for the first time.

After coming close to victory in Watkins Glen, Siegel’s Jriii Racing LMP3 entry was able to finish second at Petit Le Mans that October. To start 2023, Siegel was a late addition to the Sean Creech Motorsport LMP3 Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona entry. Despite limited seat time in the lead up to the race, Siegel was able to pilot the car to the lead and set the fastest LMP3 lap of the race, helping the team capture second-place in the one of the world’s premier sportscar races. After his racing success in the last two seasons, Siegel is looking forward to driving new cars in new disciplines in 2023. He found success behind the wheel of the Inter Europol Competition LMP2 car in the 2023 Asian Le Mans Series, a direct feeder-series for the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Siegel and his co-drivers won the 4 Hours of Dubai and fought for the overall championship before a part failure in the finale. Siegel is driving the #04 Crowdstrike Racing LMP2 in the IMSA Endurance Cup for the remainder of the 2023 season and is looking forward to the fierce competition of that class.
